Today is a day of personal silence in the blog world in memory of Matt Turner. I know not everyone is on Twitter and I highly believe in the power of prayer so this post is important. The blogging and twitter community can be a wonderful thing. It is a wonderful place to share the little moments of our lives with other people like us. I have had the privilege of celebrating many joys in the lives of my twitter and blog friends and the honor of praying for them in trying times as well. If you are a new visitor, I will briefly update you. Otherwise, see the connecting blogs to follow their personal stories.
Since I became part of the blog world, I have been following Julee's blog (if you would like to read Julee’s story you can click on her name) and she is truly a sweet, wonderful person. She is definitely one of those people I feel like I "know" although I have actually never met her. Julee's beloved husband passed away this weekend in a car accident and leaves behind Julee and their beautiful 10 month baby girl, Preslee. There are several videos and articles going up online about Matt, which is evidence that he made a huge impact for the Lord in his family and community. This is on the site for the TV station Matt recently started working for in Arkansas if you are interested in his story.
On behalf of so many wonderful fellow bloggers and those on twitter who want to reach out and let Julee know that everyone is praying for her, thinking of her and supporting her over the days, weeks and months ahead many womenhave worked together to create multiple different forms of contribution on behalf of precious Preslee. If you would like to participate see this blog post: http://www.jennablogs.com/2012/10/ways-to-help-turner-family.html
Most of us have never met Julee but have shared in her life through her blog. I know if I was in her shoes, I would adore your prayers during a time such as this. If you have a minute, please say a prayer for Julee Turner and the entire Turner family. As always, until next time- happy blogging.
