THIS WEEK'S QUESTION:

What are you most thankful for this year?

I currently am thankful for rejuvenation. I have been struggling this year with finding a healthy balance in my life juggling school, maintaining blog growth, continuing to establish my home, and making time with the husband, and my sweet Jesus. I decided that I needed to take charge and make things happen last weekend, which you can read more of in this post. I felt as if I was failing on so many of my "so called" New Year's Resolutions. I know this post is going to sound that it is a weekend recap but I think it all relates to the topic at hand.

In an effort to continue revamping rejuvenation and doing life in a progressive manner, it seems all hope and energy is continuously being drained from my body. On Tuesday our marriage was rocked by good news and bad news that I will share at a later date (I am not pregnant. No need for gossip).

Then, I found out on Thursday that I had pneumonia for the second time this year. I love my little friends at my four placements but my body does not love them unfortunately. I think and hope with time that my immune system will become more feasible apt to snot, boogers, coughs, and little kid love sharing. To better prepare for the coming week of more little friend loving, I stocked up on just as many germ-x bottles as possible while waiting for my prescription to be filled.

On Friday we had our water heater fixed in an effort to fix our heater unit. You know why I have had pneumonia twice in two months? We live in an apartment with no heat. Ah, life is awesome y'all. I am not even kidding. So while the heater was being fixed our pipes in our water heater busted. There was approximately three or more inches of water ALL.OVER. our home. Thankfully, I can say that nothing was damage that could not be replaced. There will be a little money spent to buy new books for school and a few wedding gifts that were damage. Luckily, none of our furniture was hurt. I praise Jesus for that miracle because we literally just bought new furniture after our wedding. I must say, our complex does a great job maintaining the comfort level of "your" home although we are only renters.

On Sunday I caught up with an LSU friend and a few family members, marked things off my school to-do list, organized our home office, cleaned/Lysoled (sp?) every inch of our home which had not be cleaned in almost two months- Ekkkk, enjoyed the glorious, freezing sunshine, and had a long dinner with my husband that was greatly appreciated and very much needed. This may sound crazy, but taking only one day to slow day left me feeling rejuvenated. Imagine that feeling if it was incorporated into every single day for 30 minutes or so (without technology in one hand or the other).

This week I am thankful for rejuvenation. Even if rejuvenation required getting sick and missing two days of life, cleaning up water all over ever inch of our home, dealing with learning to do life different based on unchanging, uncontrollable circumstances - - - I am still thankful for down time and rest.

By all means, this post is not one of compliant. I know that I have it much better than others. I am only sharing with you all just as I share every other days o please do not think I am coming across in the wrong fashion.

You can start thinking & writing about the next conversation piece. Here is the question for next week for you to ponder.

NEXT WEEK'S QUESTION:

What is one of the most valuable lessons you have learned this year so far?

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Tomorrow I will be showcasing more tips and tricks to save money and "Organize To Thrive". Have a blessed day!

As always, until next time- Happy blogging!
