Hi, Friends!
I praise Jesus it is FINALLY the weekend. Not that I get to rest or anything, but I do get to take a breather from running around everywhere like a mad woman! I am looking forward to catching up from this week, preparing for next week, and getting a little refreshment from my Father all from the comfort of our home and my jammers. What do you and yours have planned?
I hope you are starting your weekend on just the right note. If you are at home surfing the Internet I figured I would share the love in my little corner of the blogsphere in case you jumped on over to see what has been happening in newlywed land. I have totally been scamming out on posting Friday Favorites so I thought I would revisit an old charm this evening to give you the low down via photos "brain dump" style.
I know I posted once already today! I swear I will not turn into one of those bloggers who posts a zillion billion times a day. However, I will take an extra moment to share a little photo love from our neck of the woods from this past week for the evening crowd that misses all the morning post runs.

- My sister got braces Tuesday. They are epic. And very blue... Not sure why she picked blue? I swore I would not share the pictures she sent me. However, I do know that she is as beautiful as ever with braces.
- If you are a prayer warrior please pray she continue to thrive in all areas of life. I trust the Lord has a plan through this new teenage stage of development she is embracing.
- I know she cut her bangs to be like me and if I could I swear I would get braces to be just like her. Showing some love to Miss Mary Kathryn Marie! I miss her SO SO much. Why can't Spring Break be this week!?
- New computers = "no pain, no gain" has never meant more to me than it does now. I recently shared that I was experiencing some massive computer problems. Now, I am trying to learn how to work a new Macbook Pro that Tony Harper bought me for Valentine's Day. It is coming along but I am still trying to doctor my old PC as well. Y'all, it is tough stuff trying to learn a new system in the middle of semester madness!
- Belated Christmas happies arrived in the mail from my step-father over the weekend. Hootie hoo! Who does not love a good monogram!? These types of gifts are even better when you have NEW INITIALS to show! I am SO SO thankful for thoughtful parents! I miss my family.
- Funny story- I wore my initial necklace backwards one day this week. I honestly did not notice until someone asked me what the "H" stood for when my names starts with a "K". Whelp, better next time right? It was a long day! Ha!

- Cheers to my parents for being so awesome through the years. I have missed them a bunch this week if you have not caught on yet. More lately than ever I am realizing that they taught me A LOT. Most importantly, they were always right about everything even if I thought they were the dumbest people in the world at the time. Of course you think you know everything at 16! Now, I am realizing I don't know dirt compared to what they know.
- I wish Baton Rouge was not so far away. I could really go for some family dysfunction time with everyone all at once.
- I finally changed my name on my student ID this week. I guess it was about time to let the very last piece of the old me go that I have been hanging on to these past few months.
- I am noticing more and more that I like just.like.my.mama. As much as my mom wants to disown me on some days, she can't. My daddy's genes got totally outnumbered somewhere along the way. I look more and more like the Averette family with each passing moment. Age
and the round shapeis getting to me-- Learning to embrace all the changes life is throwing my way one step at a time!
- My Pinterest Teacher Inspired Wardrobe is coming along quite nicely. Practicum was extremely successful while visiting three of my four placements this week when considering working, learning, and dressing as a teacher. I am super excited about next week! I just need some teacher tips on how to gain and sustain more energy! If you know the secret, please tell me ASAP because I feel like a tired dog dragging my tongue on the floor as I walk through the door each night. Starbucks is not cutting it.
- Gotta Give credit where credit is due- My awesome MIL bought me this outfit for Christmas! She did good being a boy mom! Don't you just love the scarf? I am obsessed with how everything came together so well. I broke out this attire on Day 1 of being in the Alabama schools.
- This is a view that I am growing more accustom to since I do not get home until late everyday now. Despite being away from home for 10+ hours, I will vouch if I can see this gorgeous view from my parking deck. Now, only if my husband was near by with a candlelight dinner we.would.be.talking.mega.awesome.date. Unfortunately for him/fortunately for me, Tony is learning how to make a house a home, do the dishes, and wash clothes. :) Not only is this semester teaching me how to be a professional, but Tony is learning the the glamorous role of a wife, too!
- You should be completely jealous of this beautiful site. I am obsessed with the city life, city lights, and everything that comes with the accommodations of convenience and inconvenience (traffic is lovely). I certainly plan to never ever never leave... Unless my husband asks of course.
- I thought I would reiterate that rainy days are the best days for doing absolutely nothing. I am sure most of you know that by now though. I am not exactly sure what day it was, but it rained the ENTIRE day and night. It was lovely in so many ways!
- The blog's Facebook Fan Page got a little face lift thanks a sweet friend and a another blogger's tutorial. If you haven't yet, you should totally like our page and share it with all of your friends! I would definitely love you forever and always. Not only can you view the blog links through the Facebook Page, but you can also view my Twitter links, Pinterest links, and Instagram links all in ONE spot! How awesome!? Just visit the fan page and click on the name of whatever account you are interested in visiting!
