Hello, Blog World!! TGIF, y'all! 

WELCOME! WELCOME! There are so so many new faces in my GFC followers box that I have no clue what to do. I am THRILLED to have you tagging along in my happily ever after world, friends! Through this post I plan to help you learn more about the blogger behind the blog in hopes that you will grab your favorite cup of coffee, hot tea, or whatever it is you like to drink and stay awhile. Just feel free to make yourself at home, tour the blog's NEW LOOK, learn about its EXPANSION, let's swap buttons, and read on! 

So without further ado, let me introduce myself. 

The Mr. and Mrs. 

Hi there! I am Kalyn. I am a Christian, wife, student, daughter, and sister. This here on the left (your right) is my husband, Tony. Tony and I became Mr. and Mrs. in June 2012. He is a master jokester and  Giggle Box just waiting to happen! We became big kids over the summer and are doing life in the real world adult style. Often times you will find that I blog the nitty gritty confessions of being a new wife. With all my heart, I believe that marriage is a commitment, not a contract.

Our love story is not like most. While we did grow up together in the same rural small town in south Alabama, we dated long distance for almost 5 year while I attended LSU and Tony attended The University of Alabama. We decided to break all the rules and get married super early in life. Contrary to popular belief, love is a beautiful thing if you have the right partner to ride the roller coaster of life with no matter the age. While some days are tougher than others because of work, school, family drama, health reasons, or sheer exhaustion let me tell you- Marriage is a blast and we would not have it any other way! We are content just coming home to each other in the evenings, which is the best of the best no matter what way you look at it. It certainly beats one 30 minute phone call when you are five hours apart. We are not perfect nor have we ever been, yet we love because He loved us first through it all. I sure cannot say "the end" because we are still writing our love story, so... to love, laughter, and happily ever after!

Meet Bella. 

This little fur baby stole my heart almost two years ago. Bella is a rescue chihuahua that my family adopted and nursed back to health. You can read more about her story HERE.  Yes, she is the sweetest thing in the world and I would 1000% recommend pet adoption all the way!

Here's the skinny: 

I am obsessed with attempting artsy photography through Instagram, trying to cook new Pinterest Recipes twenty different ways, DIY Projects, organizing and cleaning anything and everything, and typically I will  stress myself to the max trying to find the perfectly imperfect graduation route. The Lord is my Father. I love my family. I am blessed with incredible in-laws. And, I have some pretty awesome friends all over the world in real life and many spectacular friends in blog world. No lie, I am totally itching to meet you!! I hope you will visit again, comment your blog address below, email me to say "hi" and tag along as I continue to share all the Lord is teaching me through life, love, and all that consumes my little happily ever after world. I simply document my life (and complete multiple grammatical errors) for all to read on this here blog, even though that may be extremely weird for some people. I love my little corner of the Internet and adore the blogging community.

These are our siblings. My sister in the photo below is pretty awesome. I blog about her a lot. :) 

I finally have a brother (in-law). Jordan (and Tony, of course) were quickly welcomed as the first boys into a family of only girls this summer! 

On any given day you will find that I post on a random assortment of topics. I may seem all over the place but I normally blog about whatever is on my heart at the time. I hope each post reads like an open book and you leave my little area of the dot com world filled with encouragement, love, and hopefully a little laughter. Whether it be random life lessons, making our house a home, marriage, Jesus intervening my to-do list, Wedding Wednesday tips and tricks, cooking a recipe twenty different ways based on Pinterest posts, DIY crafts, or Pinterest Inspired wardrobe - You can bet I will blog about it  about it! [I am not sure why this text is blue but just go with it! I can't get it to change color in the template. Oops- blogger fail?]

I am so blessed for all that has come from having this blog during the last few months. I hope that I can continue to use this platform for the glory of my Father. I believe that the Lord has given me this opportunity to share my life and the story I have through Jesus. This place is not even about me although I share so much from our newlywed world. This place is about Jesus Christ and what He can do through a sinner like me. This is a place for Him to get all the glory. This is a place where I can share all He has done in my life and point straight back to Him. Whether that mission is fulfilled through Pinterest recipes, DIY projects, or Wedding Wednesday posts- I hope this space reads like an open book of encouragement, faith, and love for the Lord and our ever changing world.
