Personalized Ornaments (2)

Today I thought I would share with you all one last Christmas craft that I made recently. Enjoy! :)

If you saw the last post I made about Personalized Ornaments, this post will correlate. When I was searching for round, glass balls for the first personalized ornaments that I made I was only able to find a pack of 7. So, my creativity (some may say tackiness) continues since I have ample time to play during the day!

I created a few homemade Christmas ornaments that differ from the first post with some of the remaining glass balls in the pack of 7. I actually saw this idea on Pinterest and changed a few things up a bit to make my ornaments unique and different. In this ball I included two photos from our Honeymoon and ribbon as between filler. Then, I added the "I Do" charm to the top, which was left over from the things that I bought when creating the ornaments in my first post. (Click the pink link above to see those.)



This little craft project is extremely easy and does not take long. I did need to cut the pictures to size. I used a pencil and a pair of scissors to move the picture around or flatten it out how I wanted. It took a couple practice times and I did get somewhat frustrated since the opening in the ball is so small at the top.

Be sure you make copies of your pictures, as they do tend to bend or possibly tear if you have to pull it back out. Rolling it up and twisting it out is the easiest way to get the photo in and back out of the ball.

I have actually seen many different ideas for creative, personalized ornaments this Christmas. I will share below! Be sure to check out the links to know how to make each one if you so choose.

This idea I saw on Kelly's Korner. I think this unique little creations can be made with frosted glass or clear glass. The special aspect is that the ribbon can be changed each year depending on the color of decor you plan to use for your tree!

One of my friends from LSU posted this on her Instagram account recently. It looks so cute! I hope to try it with a few of my extra glass ornaments. All you need is a feather and a initial.

I hope your Christmas creations are coming along as planned. It is getting to be almost that time! Before we know it we will be packing everything back up and finding places to store things until next year. What a sad thought!

I wanted to share one more thing with you today before signing off! Tony's sweet grandmother sent us an early Christmas present last week. It was a beautiful Christmas ornament that is engraved inside with our names and a with a place for a photo from our first Christmas. We loved it! I thought it was too gorgeous and that it could not be passed up in a post.
