Info Post
Hello friends, family and blog world! I hope you are all doing wonderful! If you are a new visitor, welcome! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will take a minute to look around! :)

I have always loved to receive and give Christmas cards from/to family and friends during the holiday season.

Since getting the mail was my job, it was always exciting to run to the mailbox and see who thought to send well wishes our way during the season of thanksgiving, holiday, and celebration. Mom would always tact the cards onto a bulletin board and swap them out each year. Also, I loved being able to look back through all the years and compare how people changed over time.

I remember as a teenager I would always force my mom to go out and take pictures of my little sister and me just so she would have no excuse to not send out our family card around the holiday time. So, poor Tony just did not have a chance this year. :)

I have to admit-- we actually sent out three types of cards this year (Oops!). We have so many family and friends from different areas, so each card fit each family in a certain way.

The cards from Tiny Prints are my favorite, but I thought I would share the other two just for fun. One is a red card with a snow man figure on the front. His body, the ribbons, and buttons are actually tangible. The other card has a Santa Claus theme on the front and a New Year's Eve theme inside. I found each on sale for a great deal and could not pass them up!

Being a newlywed and being the type of person who loves to make a big deal out of all the "firsts" that we are experiencing as a couple, I was on top of things and made our very first Christmas card from Tiny Prints. I am not one who cares too much for the Christmas letters, but I just really love a good photo. Typically, most people send out cards with photos of their children or pets, which we have neither of yet. Of course Tony thought it was ridiculous to send our cards out with only pictures of us. However, he loves Christmas most out of all other holidays so after a bit of coaxing he warmed up to my ideas. I know that when we look back in five years he will be glad I made them.

Being that we are newlyweds I thought it would be neat to incorporate all the big milestones that have happened in our relationship during this past year on our card. I thought there will not be another chance as opportune as now to showcase all of the wonderful photos that have filled my camera this year. Obviously there have been many important events and I thought it would be nice to share these moments with those family and friends who maybe could not make it to each event.

I picked a design on Tiny Prints website and was able to fill in the slots with photos and personalized text. I narrowed the card down to just a few photos- Tony's graduation from The University of Alabama, our beyond amazing wedding, St. Lucian honeymoon, and just a simple one of us from everyday life. (I am obsessed with the back design, too!)

Although the card format for this year is fitting, I  typically enjoy creating designs along the classic look with one or two simple photos. I am sure I will find something similar for next year when the time comes.

This is the very first Christmas that Tony and I will spend completely together instead of traveling to see each other so we are extremely excited to be able to wake up together and spend the entire day together. We plan to spend a few days with my parents and sister in Louisiana, a few days with his parents and brother in Alabama, and then head home to spend a day or two together before he has to go back to work. In our own way we are beginning new traditions and it is so exciting! I cannot wait to give you all a recap at a later date!! :)

If you would like to see our Christmas decor and card display, I blogged a good bit about each in this POST. Our amount of cards have increased since the beginning of the month, which I love! Once we received card #10 in the mail I got anxious and sent our cards out a bit early. Typically, I would have rather waited until the week before Christmas to mail everything... but, oh well! Merry Christmas!

I saw this Christmas card display idea from another blogger- I think next year I will plan to do a Christmas tree just for displaying cards like this one. If you would like to see an example of this idea, click HERE  and scroll down. Thank you, Kelly from Kelly's Korner Blog for sharing your Christmas decor! It is gorgeous!

On a side note, I made personalized wedding ornaments the other day. They turned out so well that I wanted to share!

If you would like to see those and the directions to make your own, CLICK this post. Lastly, here is our Christmas light display, newlywed style!

Merry Christmas from our home to yours! Tony and I wish you and yours a happy holiday season full of warmth, love, laughter, and a little happily ever after! :)

As always, until next time- Happy Blogging!
