Info Post
Hello everyone! On December 16, 2011, one year ago today Tony and I were out and about taking our engagement photos in and around the Tuscaloosa area.

It was such a lovey day and our photos turned out so well. I would like to share a few and use this post to highlight our awesome photographers, Jessica and Jeremy Franks. I will add a few tips below via Pinterest, website, Blogger, and The Knot web links. However, I think most of you already know that photographers are a huge aspect of planning a wedding. Although it is a huge expense when planning, it is one of the only treasures from the big day that lasts.

These are just a few of my favorite photos below. Sorry for the photo overload, but I just cannot pick only a few, as I love so many of them. At the time I was still attending LSU in Baton Rouge and Tony was still attending Bama. I was in town visiting him for the weekend and our photographers were kind enough to set aside the entire afternoon on Sunday to shoot our session.

We were thrilled for the care and time J Franks took for us! J Franks is a wonderful photography team dedicated to catering to the desires of your particular occasion. They were willing to listen to our ideas as well as incorporating their unique ideas and creativity. Overall, during our session I think I changed outfits 7 times. If I remember correctly, Tony maybe changed 5 times. Although it was a long day, Tony and I had a blast and we have some amazing pictures for the coming years.

Some of these photos are a few of our favorites that we displayed at our showers and reception. We honestly could not pick out a few so we ordered one of all of them in one size or another.

This was our Save The Date card that was sent out to everyone. J Franks also created the card. I saw the idea on Pinterest from the Alabama Theatre in Birmingham and fell in love.

Tony and I decided to rent out the Bama Historical Theatre marquee for the evening in order to create our personal saying. The photos turned out so well! We LOVED our photos and Save The Date cards!

On our wedding day I had multiple photo ideas printed from Pinterest, cut out, and laid on a table for our photographers. This was actually an idea that J Franks asked me to think about. I found many creative shots that I wanted and they were able to manipulate the ideas.

Thinking back to our engagement and wedding journey reminds me of the song "True Believers" by Darius Rucker. I really listened to the lyrics the other day. Each stanza associates well to our long distance relationship and engagement journey.

Church bells ringing on our wedding day
Climbed in that limo and rode away
Guess you'll always hear some people say
They're never gonna make it.

We settled in and we settled down
In this quiet little seaside town
You were the rock I built my world around
And life won't ever break it

We are one heartbeat in the darkness
We are one lasting answered prayer
We are one unbroken promise
We are two, True Believers

It wasn't easy getting here today
Sometimes you stumbled or I lost my way
But every roadblock was a chance to say;
Take my hand I'm here beside you.

We worked and made it through the toughest parts
Now every days another chance to start,
To look around and see that where we are
Is where we were trying to get to

We are one before our God in Heaven
We are one road when the going gets rough
We are one now and forever
We are one name, one life, one flame

On a side note- I was having a bit of trouble posting on the blog yesterday from my phone app. If you were not able to see that post, CLICK HERE. It should be up and ready today. Sorry for the confusion or trouble!

Have a wonderful day, everyone! Until next time, happy blogging!
