I thought I would share a quick and easy recipe with you that we tried last night. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you may have seen the hype on this awesome dish already! It was delicious and super yummy for all that asked! :)
Tony and I often eat at home instead of going out for dinner. Typically, I cook enough that will allow us to have four servings, 2 for dinner and then 2 for lunch the following day. Since some evenings I have more time than others, I will prepare a better meal. However, on my long days dinner is not so spectacular. Recently, I am loving crock pot recipes that I can start in the morning and have ready by the time I get home each evening.
We love a good peperoni pizza and we love pasta, too. So, I thought why not combine the two together? I started searching Pinterest for something similar and did not come up with results for the exact dish that I imagined. Although some recipes looked tasty, I decided to attempt my own ideas while incorporating a few I saw online.
This is a good, basic recipe that you can change up by adding mushrooms, black olives, green olives, green peppers, Italian sausage, onions, or whatever you like on pizza. I tried keeping it healthy by using lean ground beef and turkey pepperoni. Also, another great perked about this recipe is that it is super kid friendly and can be cooked in a casserole dish in the oven in a similar fashion! Overall, the recipe is easy, delicious, and calls for a family gathering!
Ingredients:
Ground beef, drained and brown
Peperoni
Cream of Mushroom Soup
Onion
Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Pasta Noodles, Cooked
Pizza Sauce
8 oz. Sour Cream
Directions:
Brown the ground beef, drain
Boil the pasta noodles
Mix together in bowl or skillet that was used to brown the meat:
- Pizza or spaghetti sauce
- Onion
- Half of the meat mixture
- Half of the noodles
- Half a can of the soup
- Half of the cooked pasta
- Half of the pepperoni slices
- 6 ounces of cheese
**Some of the recipes called for cream of mushroom, therefore I added it to the recipe above. Tony does not eat mushrooms so I opted out of adding them.
