Info Post
Hey there, blog world!

I would like for you all to meet Lara Ellen over at Living Like LaLa

Lara Ellen is an awesome Christian gal, southern belle to the core, Alabama fan, soon to be wife, and traveler to many place near and far. She and I grew up together in the same neighborhood in small town USA, attended the same school, and I believe she probably even babysat me on occasion. Not only do we go back a few years personally, we are also experiencing love and marriage during the same periods of life. This ride has been crazy, but the journey is not over! Thankfully, we can share it together!

If you have a minute, jump on over and check out her awesome blog. You will find posts on everything from Jesus, life, love, laughs, travels, fashion, make-up and wedding planning!

She has 4 months to go until the big "I Do" and recently blogged Wedding Planning 101 on all she has learned thus far. Also, if interested you can learn the hype on Wedding GiftsSave The Dates, and Invitations, too!

Tony and I are looking forward to celebrating the big day come the month of May. The soon to be Mr. and Mrs. are kicking off shower celebrations in a few short weeks and I cannot wait to meet all the wonderful people in their wedding party! This experience is going to be different for me, but oh so much fun!

Since I am on the flip side on wedding planning and am not the Bride, I have been doing a great deal of research and studying. For their wedding, I will direct the ceremony. Super exciting? Why, yes! Super nerve racking? Double yes! It is my dream job to be an event planner, baker, interior designer, photographer so I have been taking all of this in each step of the way. It all brings back such wonderful memories and all that we learned during our journey to becoming a Mr. and Mrs. Y'all, marriage is a beautiful thing!

Anyway, I have obviously been doing a great deal of reading instead of checking things off a to-do list, taste testing cake, or making phone calls. If you are in need of some tips and tricks on wedding planning I would totally suggest checking out this book in the photo above. I know that I have talked of a binder before, but this book was great while I was planning. I have even been able to apply some of the chapters to my role in Lara Ellen's wedding. I thought it would be great to share with any newly engaged gal out there who may be reading this post today. It was a life saver as a Bride and now as I embrace a different side of the wedding experience, which is a double plus!

Also, if you are looking for other engaged blogger gals to follow for all things Wedding check out Nicole over at Bloom and Jamie over at Southern Simplicity. Each girl is sharing their journey to the altar every Wednesday! Plus, they are awesome Christians and education majors sharing their Jesus and current walks in life, too.

In a few days I will share a few wives (and their blogs) I have met in the blogging community for those of you who are no longer in the wedding planning phase. I love to gather all the newlywed advice I can and am glad to share some as well!

Later this week I will be sharing "confessions of a new wife"... Good stuff, y'all. I hope you will come back! :)

Finally, I want to share just one more book with you. I received this book as a wedding gift from Jaime over at Faith, Hope, and The Love's. Tony and I actually worked through this book with her husband, Greg, during our pre-marital counseling. It is a wonderful book that truly hits home on many issues that you may not consider during your engagement journey and post wedding. Recently, I read it again and often times I will find myself drawing on different quotes during certain situations in our marriage.

As of now, marriage is one of the best blessings that the Lord has bestowed in my life. I know that everyone says their children are the best blessing, but I am not a parent yet. Plus, without your soul mate, children would never come into the picture. Love is spectacular and to share this life with your best friend brings all the joy this world can offer. I am getting off topic with this, but kids can come later. What's the rush people? Enjoy your husband and all that marriage has to offer while you can. Love while you are young. Then, grow old together raising babies and the welcome wrinkles.

Being able to share everything with someone the Lord created just for you is amazing. Not only am I married to my husband but I am also married to be best friend, biggest fan, and supporter. I prayed and prayed for a marriage more beautiful than our wedding and I can testify that the Lord is good. While our wedding was beautiful, I love our marriage so much more! He has provided in all circumstances during these first seven months while we experience this new chapter of life. God is so good all the time!
