QUESTIONS FROM LARA ELLEN at Living Like LaLa

1. Where is the most exciting place you have ever been?
My husband and I went to St. Lucia for our Honeymoon. By far, it was the best place I have ever visited. You can read more about our trip HERE

2. Did you make any new years resolutions? If so what were they?
I did not make any resolutions. To be honest, I am not really a resolution kind of girl. I have never really made a resolution. I do like to challenge myself, set goals, and attempt to embrace changes. You can read more about what I expect to welcome in 2013 HERE

3. What is your favorite Sports team?
Hands down, my favorite sports team would have to be Louisiana State University! I was born in Louisiana, raised around Tiger fans, and had the opportunity to be a Tiger for three years. If anything, I have learned to LOVE PURPLE and LIVE GOLD.

4. What song do you sing to the top of your lungs when it comes on the radio?
Honestly, I will sing every single song that comes on the radio most days. Since I spend a lot of time in my car commuting to and from school I try to make the best out of terrible traffic situations. Normally, I will pop a CD in before I start my 10 mile trek lasting 1 hour. Once I arrive at my destination, the CD has usually finished. There is not a particular song that I do not try to sing. Even if I do not know all the words, I typically attempt to sing something that I think may sound familiar to the lyrics or at least hum the tune along while butchering the song. Ha! Right now, I am obsessed with all things Phillip Phillips, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Better Than Ezra, Benjy Davis, and the likes.

5. Who is your role model?
Currently, I have multiple role models. I am not sure that I could pin point one because there is some unique quality that is different that I find to like in many individuals, celebrities, family members, bloggers, and friends. I think my role models change through the years when I learn more about a person and as I grow and change, personally. As of now, I am channeling to be more like many general women that are not afraid to take a stand for their faith, family, husband, home, education, and personal success.

6. Where do you want to be with your life in 5 years?
Ah, the dreaded question. I dislike this questions very much. If you would have asked me this five years ago, some of the results I currently live would not be in site. Times change drastically and quickly, friends. In 5 years I hope to have a more intimate relationship with the Lord, my husband's love continuing to surround our home, health for myself and family, a stable job, and a completed college experience.

7. If you could make 3 wishes what would they be?
If I could make 3 wishes I would wish to live closer to my family (or they close to Tony and I), influence today's youth on a different scale in order to have a more prosperous future generation, and always stay faithful to my Father, never growing complacent.

8. What is your favorite quote?
I LOVE quotes. Be it, quotes or bible verses, words of wisdom all are large assets to helping me get through each day. There is never a day that a quote or bible verse does not pop into my head during certain situations. Right now, I adore this quote that I found on Pinterest: "To live with purpose, to say the courageous thing, to celebrate the simple gift, to follow your dreams, this is a happy life." I want to live as simple and intentional as this quote.

live intentionally // my overarching goal for 2013

9. If you could only pick one nail polish color to use for the rest of your life what would it be?
I am a huge nail polish fan so this is a bit difficult. I think I would pick Big Apple Red from the OPI collection. Although it is a bright red, it is not too pink, orange, or maroon. Therefore,  I think it wears well through all seasons, social events, and fashion changes.

10. Favorite healthy snack?
Right now I am loving Peanut Caramel Popcorn, from Popcorn Indiana. I am a snacker though. It is actually kinda really bad. Instead of three meals a day, I typically have one decent meal and snack the rest! It is really hard to choose one in particular. :)

11. Current Favorite TV show?
Honey Boo Boo. It is extremely cheap therapy. Judge me. Ha! By the way, for all the readers out there: Honey Boo Boo is not the typical southern resident. We are not all like the Boo Boo family. Just FYI for ya.

I actually do not watch a lot of TV. I have never been a big TV fan really. When I do sit down to watch, I always have to find something to do because I feel as if I am wasting my time just sitting there. I just cannot sit still... It is a problem.
